• Assist in the day-to-day administration of the MGM Resorts 401(k) Savings Plan, Deferred Compensation Plan, 529 College Savings Plan, and various benefits administration responsibilities. All duties are to be performed in accordance with federal, state, local laws, regulations, and ordinances, as well as departmental and MGM Resorts International policies, practices and procedures.
• Responsible for all aspects of the weekly wire reconciliation which includes the funding request to Treasury (for 401(k), Deferred Compensation and 529) and responsible for Deferred Compensation updates, changes and issues; update Workday for the 529 College Savings program
• Review/approve daily distributions, QDROs, hardship withdrawals and review weekly inbound integration from recordkeeper to ensure deferrals and loans starts/stops/changes are properly loaded into Workday
• Audit weekly participant eligibility reports and term and vesting report to ensure requested distributions are accurate; work with Payroll to resolve any errors, research the loan risk default report, bad address/lost participant report and provide resolution
• Responsible for the entire beneficiary distribution process when a participant is deceased and research inquiries from former participants who received a letter from SSA regarding potential 401(k) benefit
• Monitor the annual contribution limit report to ensure participants do not exceed the maximum amount allowed per year
• Actively participate in 401(k) communications and campaign strategies and work closely with Labor Relations to ensure 401(k) union eligibility changes are updated timely
• Respond to questions from participants in a timely manner through phone calls, Neocase and emails
• Complete HIPAA certificates, manage the port/convert process for life insurance, responsible for COBRA reimbursement process, and manage an executive level benefit process by working with designated broker
• Provide support for the annual plan audit to ensure plan compliance and work with Benefits Analyst to find ways to improve efficiency with reporting and regular audits
