Across my career, I have researched and created business writing and documentation in subject areas ranging from healthcare to technology, medical and social research, transportation security, and government contracting.
As a small business, I became certified to install and program a hybrid PBX, and I specialized in business-to-business sales and contracting, for telecom systems and maintenance support.
What pleases me most about my career has been the level of trust vested in me to work with confidential information and to deliver quality work, on time, with minimal supervision. I am a focused, natural communicator, with a background in business, technology, and the arts

As a contractor and a telephone systems dealer, I prepared documentation, contracts, quotes and training materials for over two decades. For three years, I had an active blanket purchase agreement with the US Navy and a maintenance contract for a security base in Chesapeake, VA. I dispatched and supervised 4-6 technicians or cable installers on a range of work across Virginia to cover various customers.
Transportation Security/Security Officer and Conflict Resolution: DHS/TSA (ORF), 2006-2009
I was selected by a group of my co-workers at Norfolk International Airport (ORF) to represent them in the development of a conflict resolution program. I kept minutes of committee meetings and supported the employee portal on SharePoint for HR. I managed the distribution and collection of confidential employee surveys for the Federal Security Director and created reports for him from those surveys that highlighted issues while preserving the anonymity of respondents.
