Navy Medical Modeling and Simulation Training
Simulation Operations Specialist June 2019 – July 2022
Supported One of the most arduous enlisted medical courses of instruction throughout the Department of Defense. Worked with prospective Independent Duty Corpsman program for both US Navy and Coast Guard, by developing medical training scenarios in accordance with the American Red Cross, and TCCC that enhance students’ critical thinking skills in the management of disease processes and emergency medicine.
Worked with students to develop standard outpatient notes (S.O.A.P format) which included proper format, organization of subjective and objective information into an appropriate flow with the appropriate medical terminology to document patient care.
US Navy
Independent Duty Hospital Corpsman March 2006 – November 2018
More than 42,000 patient contact hours as an Independent Health Care provider, ranging from Primary care to combat injuries and was solely responsible for the health care of up to 300 personnel in some of the most isolated and hostile environments. This included writing my own patient care notes, extensive use of medical terminology, ordered and reviewed most ancillary studies to include laboratory and radiological, formulated patient specific treatment plans and pharmacological therapies
Multiple deployments to the Middle East with Naval Special Warfare and Marine Corps Units. Participated in several missions that interrupted Taliban operations and lead the first American cadre that taught TCCC to Dubai Special Operations Team.
Primary Trauma and TCCC Instructor at Surface Force Independent Duty Corpsman School. Facilitated 3,000 hours of instruction encompassing routine, emergent and ALS scenarios resulting in a mean testing average of 95% for 600 students. Trained students in the development of standard outpatient notes (S.O.A.P format) which included proper format, organization of subjective and objective information into an appropriate flow with the appropriate medical terminology to document patient care and assisting them in developing corresponding treatment plans and pharmacological therapies based on the results of ancillary studies.

Hospital Corpsman May 1998 – March 2006
Assisted with the resuscitation of 300 Neonates and 2,000 patient contact hours in the Emergency Department. Extensive use of medical terminology by transcribing Doctors Orders, outpatient notes and Nursing notes into both inpatient and outpatient health records for both active-duty personnel and their families.
Part of a group that established a combat trauma hospital in Central Anbar Province, Iraq 2004. Assisted with initial stabilization and the performance of advanced medical procedures on 500 combat casualties.
Nine-month deployment that provided medical and humanitarian assistance to countries in Eastern Europe and Africa, was also a part of the ground invasion of Iraq in 2003.
