Duties: responsible for patient’s insurance verification (calling different insurance carriers to find out about the payment status), check claim status of patients (to find out how far the carrier has processed the claim, whether it is a 30-days or 90-days claim that’s being processed), gather information for Medicare and Medicaid Patient’s files (making sure that the patient’s files have been updated with the demographic information so that there is no problem when a claim is submitted), worked on Practice Fusion (EHR), Office Ally (EHR), Availity, Indiana Medicaid website, Zap software and post payments for patient’s billing.
