Serves a s a consultant and resource person to staff, parents and students in identifying community resources, environmental hazards and school safety issues. Manage healthcare needs of all APS students. Identify student health problems that interfere with learning through assessment, screening, evaluation and referral. Medicaid billing, ICD-10 coding on APS Physician Medication Orders. Design Individualized Health Care Plans for students identified with Chronic Health Conditions. Medication Administration, Diabetes and Asthma Management. Teaching, educating, and health promotion to staff and students, Immunization compliance/collaboration with Department of Health, Immunization student clinics, member of Health and Wellness meetings, community resource for staff and families to identify health re- sources, consultant to school and community for relevant health information and referrals. Implements policies and procedures regarding school health and the control of communicable diseases. Oversees compliance with state immunization laws. Arranges for the routine care of ill and injured students. Manages and oversees the implementation of the district medication policy. Participates as a health professional in the evaluation process for students referred for special education services. Participates as a health professional on other relevant teams and at appropriate conferences and meetings.
