COMMUNICATION
I work hard each day to make sure my patients and families receive the best care I can provide. I make sure my co-workers are supported and uplifted by my experience and compassion for care. I am a strong voice for my patients and co-workers. I am willing to assist, support, present and advocate not only the patient under my care but my co-workers included. I am strong with my communication skills to make my concerns heard at management level if needed. I have strong communication skills with physicians to make them aware of patient safety and care needs. I have the ability to be flexible to float to other areas of my hospital including stepdown, PACU and ER and take direction easily from the department staff to make things run smoothly during these difficult times during this pandemic. I keep myself updated on changing needs and direction in healthcare, especially at this juncture in time.
LEADERSHIP
I hope that I am seen as a senior leader within my hospital setting, due to my compassion for my peers, patient and friends. I try to be a true supportive worker to my staff and co-workers with kind works, education, experience and yummy food. I try to bring a light-hearted approach to our day with a touch of reality, light hearted banter and silliness while maintaining a professional but caring presence in our circle of care. I can approach any age level of patient from pediatrics to seniors and find a niche to make them comfortable and secure in knowing they will be safe and receive the best care that I can give.
