Being a director at Moemi Modupe Attorneys Inc from February 2017 to June 2022 equipped me with the necessary skills to work independently and become self-motivated. The firm was situated in Bethlehem, Free State Province and I was handling general legal mattes. I handled general civil litigation including drafting of accounts and bill of cost. I drafted my own statements of account and bill of costs on all matters I handled from when I was a legal secretary. I attended to taxation with the taxing master from 2014 when I was a candidate attorney. When I was a candidate attorney, I drafted statements of accounts and bill of costs for the directors of the firm as well I handled general civil legal matters which included the following:-
Drafting of wills and handling curatorship matters on behalf of patients who are unable to handle their affairs; administration of the deceased estates; application for guardianship;
Handling of provident and/or pension funds claims; debt collection;
General civil litigation including instituting and/or defending divorce matters; representation on minor children and spousal maintenance; drafting of antenuptial contracts; defending division of joint estates especially where the liquidator has been appointed; Page 3
