I critically evaluate each potential plasma donor. I conduct a complete head to toe physical exam, comprehensive medication review, counsel patients on possible side effects, and document patient's eligibility to donate. 24 years of Level 1 Trauma Center emergency room and critical care experience. EMT responsibilities rotated between triage, trauma, fast track, acute care, EKG, mental health sitter, rapid assessment, 23 hour observation. Developed extensive health care skills such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR), airway management, start IV’s, draw blood, EKG, BG monitoring, assist nurses and physicians in direct patient care. In triage, I was trained to recognize critical patient care. In EKG, I was trained to recognize STEMI, Strokes, and Sepsis.
