Divisional Leader for urban outreach/staff/ Prop
making/ Lesson writing In Metro World Child
Work Experience: 4-5 years
At Metro World Child (Non profit organization with the largest leading children’s Sunday school) I did urban outreach. Urban outreach prepared lessons
for our daily outreach programs (2-5 one hour long programs in the inner city of NYC). Prepped trucks daily with materials for lessons and things for
community. We would drive and especially set up
portable churches to do a program with families on street corners or near schools and parks. This
program included and engaging time for games, a
time for fun songs, learning the simple Gospel (God loves me, I have sinned, Jesus Died for me, and I
need to decide to live for God), a time for the lesson which was about 20 minutes broken into 3 things
strategically. A intro lesson that always involves a physical prop for people to associate back to in a lesson (ex. “stop sign” to remind to ‘stop, and seek help from GOD’). A Bible lesson referring to a time or story in the Bible that talks about the lesson topic.
(Like Jonah should have stopped and seek help
from God not his own). And a Story which is usually like a picture story with your own animated voices and fun way of being in the serious lesson,
especially designed for littles. Then there is always an alter time to make a decision for Christ and for the lesson. Prayer and worship included. But of
course this was on the street ministry. However it can be used indoors and was for us on Saturdays. I also helped prep lessons with writing them and
making the prop arrangements on small and big

scales for 7-13 teams. So making 7-13 big stop
signs that would have been used in lessons for the teams. Disciples teens on a weekly to become
‘workers’ or volunteers for the program in their
community. Did a Bible study with them once a week and developed great relationships. Had a roster of information for families and schools as I served in the community. So access to homes with trust and
giving flyers at schools. The roster allowed for us to visit families weekly and call if anything. So those relationships were kept and built. Very big
missionary mindset of Go, Train, Send and Stay. So we would have interns that would volunteer every
semester to be trained to do the kids program from all different countries and cultures. So became very versatile and aware of different cultures and
developed a way to not only train these volunteers but also allow them to take said program and
implement it in their countries.

skills, BAU, and regular learning classes. Our school has about 460 students and every one of them get
to come to my class. I teach them how to harness
their artistic skills and develop them while having a fun environment. Music class takes a lot more
planing and constantly learning new things with new instruments and introducing it to the students.
Prepping these lessons with videos and engaging
conversation about instruments and how to use
them. Every class has from 18-24 students on most
days. So keeping a classroom attentive and
engaged is required.
