PROFILE

I am young and ambitious South African woman -One who works to create a safe and sustainable health and safety as well as environmental management system. I am passionate about safety and the environment. I strive to evoke long term adaptable solutions for development of all projects I tackle. I am capable and qualified of developing health safety and environmental strategies where I can efficiently manage projects based on environmentally sustainable development as well as Health and Safety management systems. I have attained a BA degree from the University of South Africa in Environmental Management, Nebosh International Health and Safety certification, ISO45001 Health and safety implementation and ISO45001 Health and Safety Internal Auditor Certified. I have a proven track record of 7 years' experience in the environmental industry. With this I am equip to bring the required knowledge of environmental regulations to your organization. I have advanced leadership skills as a HSE project manager with experience in the Nature Conservation section, Stellenbosch Municipality. Here I managed and oversaw more than 60 workers and over 10 projects that ran throughout the year. Tasked with implementing environmental management systems, Health and safety systems, wastewater management, injury and incident reporting, developing standard operating procedures and work instructions, maintaining legislative compliances, drought mitigation programmes, strategizing and budgeting for projects such as alien plant clearing, social development projects and the management of Jan Marais nature reserve, Mont Rochelle nature reserve and Jonkershoek nature reserve as well as surrounding parks. In addition to my management experience, I conducted internal health safety and environmental audits identifying and correcting non-conformances that could have a negative impact on the safety of the workers and on the environment. When problems were found, That I could not solve in my own capacity, I worked with other specialists to find and implement feasible solutions. I also monitored and evaluated existing procedures and policies to determine their effectiveness and made changes where necessary. In my current role as HSE Manager for Mosaic Manufacturing I have transitioned the management system from OSHAS18001 to ISO45001 closing GAPs and developed international standard policies, procedures and work instructions that provide a harmonious safe work environment. Here I implemented environmental waste management programmes and I have developed sustainable solutions and managed management systems for the municipal section as well as conducted Environmental impact assessments compliant with relevant regulations for private companies. I am well versed in ISO standards to assess risks navigating the large body of heal safety and environmental protections. I would love to bring my experience to this organization understanding that compliance not only saves the company money but creates good will with communities. My Greatest achievement being, achieving ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 accreditation for the company I am recently employed by. Here I developed, maintained and managed the company’s cosmetic Environmental management system and Health and safety management system as the HSE Manager.

Company culture is incredibly important to me as we spend the majority of our lives at work with colleagues. I am a team player and have been fortunate enough to have learned life lessons, gained friendships, exchanged knowledge and developed a deeper passion for this industry with each career step I take.

I also have the ability to take part in educational programs to help teach employees about safe work culture and unsafe practices that could occur if proper procedures are not followed.
