Quality Inspector, Alloy Bellows & Precision Welding - Oct 2015 - Present. Inspect products to ensure they meet customer standards. Monitor assembly of parts and components. Work with engineering to solve problems that may accrue during assembly. Visual inspection of all welds level 1/2. Perform incoming material review against C of A or C of C and correspond with supplier for any deficiencies noted. Accurately review and log incoming products, labels, cartons, and inserts on appropriate logbooks. Complete final inspection, including all appropriate paperwork. Communicate with all personnel to coordinate quality activities and solve quality issues. Use Microsoft Office products and properly utilize the company’s ERP program of choice. Conduct internal audits as assigned. Document data obtained during quality activities consistent with company policies and procedures. Quality Inspector, Presrite - March 2014 - May 2015. Record inspection results. Prepare all paperwork from the production log daily. Perform accurate measurements on thickness in required location, parts that are about 2000 hot with the use of dial calipers. Cross-check thickness mean by shrink factor against true thickness. If reading check over/undersize, notify the operator and production lead of recommended corrective actions. Report all findings in hot inspection report. Visual inspection of all samples making sure stamping is correct and in visual conformance. Read all prints in production noted for any corrective actions and informing the operator. Tag all questionable defects as nonconforming. Make sure all set points are set on each machine in production. Different set points for different steel grades. Use of Magna flux tank, parts mag in the tank to check for accuracy, check for defects that defects that are found under the surface. Calibrate equipment daily and log, such as calipers and height gage noting all variances. Use of Brinell, the test for metal hardness daily log, test samples to make sure equipment is working correctly. Final audit duties include audit of product that is to be shipped out after parts have been approved by the auditor. Check all paperwork before and after audit. Take count of parts produced and collect sample amount based on data collection chart. Able to read and interpret blueprints. Some CMM training.
Press Operator, Soundwich - 2012 - 2013.
Operate 400deg oven and press parts in a 500ton press to be formed. Press again to be cut. Taped parts, staple machine, and perform large die cuts. Inspect parts for quality.
