Lead and validate the product quality, cost reduction, Lean Six Sigma, NPIs, process improvements, and standardization of the repair operations for the NCR financial products - ATM’s modules, within the outsourced network of corporate Repair Suppliers/EMS, contracted by NCR Corp. in North and Latin America.

Managed the Eng. changes, process audits, quality improvements, NPI’s, released of 18 new products from UK and Canada at 2 corporate suppliers in Juarez, MX. PPAP validated to release 58 transferred products.

Led and validated the implementation of quality controls, engineering changes, warranty inspection, cost reductions, repair and test process and packaging improvements with the Repair Suppliers’ plants to improve the quality of the repairs. Achieved repair cost savings for $1.1M in 2016 and $924k in 2015.

Coordinated and interfaced with NCR Engineering, Quality, and Commercial areas in US, Canada, United Kingdom, and India, the product, quality and process improvements in the Repair Suppliers’ plants.

Led and coordinated with supplier, multiple CIs with Six Sigma projects to reduce up to 2-digits defective rate

Robert Bosch Automotive Systems Juarez, Mexico

Manage, lead and coordinate the manufacturing activities of Airbag Sensors and ABS modules, including projects coordination, manufacturing quality, manufacturing engineering, project transfer and NPI’s. Coordinated NPI’s of ABS9/ESP9 modules with Germany, Latin America and NAFTA regions, with 2.1M volume allocation and lean manufacturing lines capacity for 1.75M units/year with 35 projects for 22 automotive customers. Achieved PPAP as planned for 11 customers.

Developed and managed the APQP quality documentation per product, including customer reviews and approvals and 8D answers to customer complaints.

Managed, led and coordinated a $40M project and Business Unit introduction to manufacture ABS9/ESP9 modules, achieved lean manufacturing improvements in layout design, material flow, workstations design, reducing 15% cost in the $18M manufacturing lines investment, transferred from Germany.

Managed, led and coordinated a $12.5M project and Business Unit introduction to manufacture Airbag Sensors modules with lean manufacturing automated lines, transferred from Spain. Achieved PPAP for 5 automotive customers and produced 13.5M units in a 4-years with improved quality of 0.4 ppm’s, line utilization up to 91%.

Manage all administration activities related to the manufacturing operation: industrial, product and test engineering, mechanical development, plant facilities, product launches and transfers, quality assurance, incoming inspection, ISO-9001 & 14001 quality systems. Delphi Automotive Systems Mexico Technical Center

Lead the new project development and management for Fuel Vapor Solenoids, from concept initiation through manufacturing implementation and long term capability, defining customer requirements for new products application. Past position held include: Product Design Engineer and Manufacturing Design Engineer.

Managed the interface with 2 manufacturing plants, customer, suppliers and Delphi’s support areas.

Achieved two GM approvals for the design and validation of pneumatic Solenoids (EPP) with noise reduction and built-in filter, obtaining GM approval for production. Record of invention and company patent awarded.

Reduced scrap from 30% to 2% through successful product design modification.

Implemented and validated new manufacturing cell designs for pneumatic solenoids including ultrasonic welding for coil terminations, 8-coil winder machine, flow tester, pneumatic screwdriver, and producing 1.5M units/year.

Managed (GM) product complaints through RCCA root cause analysis and implemented corrective actions.

Managed the validation and production release approval of 6 molds of plastic parts for 2 new pneumatic solenoid designs, including measurement correlations with suppliers.
