maintenance upgrades on De Beers diamond mining vessels for Intermediate and Full term surveys. I have developed multiple processes for site auditing, visible felt leadership programs and training programs for upliftment of individuals through a safety observer program. One of my achievements was the combining of Engineering (production lines) and the Safety Department as each other’s supporting structures within the marine construction environment. This amalgamation of the two disciplines became a contributing factor of a positive outcome with regard to safety and the quality of workmanship. During this period the incident and accident was reduced, which in turn we were able to achieve a 9, 5 Million LTI free man-hours over a period of 4 years in this fast pace environment.
