Career Overview. Ms. Garbarino is an experienced Family Nurse Practitioner with patient care, clinical operations, health education and training, and public health consulting experience. She has worked as Family Nurse Practitioner with at-risk populations in diverse settings, including rural healthcare centers and urban clinics treating acute illness and chronic disease (e.g. diabetes, hypertension, metabolic syndrome, lipid disorders, thyroid disease, asthma, etc.) for over 12 years. Ms. Garbarino maintains her status as a clinician while also working as a public health senior clinical researcher, subject matter expert, and project manager for several federal contracts. Technical Qualifications. Mrs. Garbarino has 12 years of outpatient experience in a variety of settings where she gained many clinical skills including physical exams (pre-employment, sports, NIOSH, DOT), radiology interpretation, joint injections (medium and large), trigger point injections, outpatient wound care, gyn exams, I&D, laceration repair (multi-layer sutures, staples), eye injuries (foreign body and chemical exposure), and more. Leadership Qualifications. In addition to her clinical experience as a Family Nurse Practitioner, Ms. Garbarino possesses wide-ranging managerial experience. She has managed clinic operations to ensure accomplishment of corporate goals of service, associate engagement, and patient satisfaction, as well as monitored financial reports and key performance indicators to improve center performance. During her 12 year career as a clinician, Adrienne has demonstrated the ability to utilize her technical skills and applied knowledge to train and educate medical staff of all levels on evidence-based practice including patient care skills and procedures and use of electronic medical records including Epic and Allscripts. She developed and implemented medical and operational standard operating procedures for a new clinic, designing internal paper chart documentation that satisfied patient safety and insurance billing requirements. She trained new office staff to ensure high-quality patient care and efficient office workflow. Additionally, Mrs. Garbarino recruited nurse practitioners and physicians’ assistants and interviewed medical assistants, front office personnel, and sales associate candidates. As a public health consultant, Adrienne manages numerous public health contracts including coordinating a multi-disciplinary team for the design of an implementation science research study.
