Quality &Pre-shipment inspection at plant of Steel Products including valve added flats.

To check the input Bloom / Billet heat numbers during charging to ensure feeding of correct grade material in all the furnaces.

Inspection and tracking of material during rolling of finished products in all the Mills. Checking of tag details, counting of number of bundles/coils/ pieces in higher section of Rounds (45mm. Above), Blooms & Billets and submission of tallying report product wise to respective loading In- charges and also Engineer In-charge for record.

Inspection of loading of materials into the trailers/trucks/wagons from shipping yard and specified yard within Plant premises.

Material with Shot edges / physical visible defects such as cracks / seems are to be kept aside and not to be cleared for loading.

Inspection of markings / painting of color codes as per assigned grade.

Inserting “Accepted” sticker or tag after clearing the material else “Rejection” sticker for defective product for keeping them in separate stack.

Organization: Worked M/s Balaji Pressure Vessels (P) Ltd (BPVL) at Hyderabad, as Site Inspector (Quality) for the period from Jan’2017– Oct’2018.

Responsibilities:

Monitoring and inspecting the non-conforming product for fabrication process and fulfil the plant and works requirements and to achieve specifications as per standards of the clients.

Inspecting every plain halves and Bung halves for abnormalities and defects, and rejecting them if necessary before going to welding area.

Inspecting these cylinders for any welding defects and labeling them with ISO codes for punching.

Quality checking each and every cylinder for any leakages by Hydraulic pressure testing and Pneumatic testing.

Correlate results of the quality process through analysis of recorded data with the management and perform additional test points, if required by BIS personals or Clients. Performing Real-time radiography, Monitor and interpret the defects of die casted Aluminum wheel using Radiography, Visually on the monitor screen.

Marking these Aluminum alloy wheels at which defects occurred with suitable paints, and are subjected for Approval / Rejections of the product.

Technical discussion with Quality In-charge about Acceptance / Rejection criteria and suggest work accordingly from time to time.

Responsible for quality process, Operation of the equipment and its maintenance works.

Taking the samples from melting zone furnace and LPDC’s for the composition analysis of aluminum and its constituents. Performing the quality tests on the Sample such as Porosity test, Hydrogen test and Spectrograph analysis and record data into log sheet.

Performing the quality tests for the finished product such as Tensile test and Impact tests.

Reporting and submitting the recorded data for analyzing to the quality department from time to time.

Having knowledge in How to operate Windows operating system, MS Office and Internet tools.

Having Basic Knowledge of AutoCAD tools and mechanical Drawings.
