Accounting Assistant, Native Hawaiian Veterans, LLC, Honolulu, HI 12/19/16 -10/25/19 Native Hawaiian Veterans (NHV) provides a legacy of solutions and strong past performance to federal government clients globally. NHV was acquired at the end of 2018 by Cayuse Holdings, LLC, an American Indian tribal entity which became Cayuse Native Hawaiian Veterans, LLC (CNHV) a Small Business Administration (SBA) Tribal 8(a) committed to excellence by providing innovative and flexible solutions to federal government clients, emphasizing excellence in the Asia-Pacific region. I decided during the transition period that I would retire in October 2019. My responsibilities included but not limited to A/R and billing, A/P, bank reconciliations,excel spreadsheet updates and maintenance, and various other tasks as requested by the Accountant or Director of Finance. The position had used three different types of accounting software which was Deltek, GCS, and Quickbooks. NHV had several other companies within which required full maintenance of all accounting transactions & functions. I also assisted in the maintenance of those sets of books.

Accounting, Full Charge Bookkeeper Candidate, Altres Staffing, Honolulu, HI, 10/12/16 – 12/9/16 Interviewed, tested and hired as a Temp or Permanent accounting support. Upon interviewing with Altres, was sent to a client for a Temp accounting position the next day and hired as an Accounting Clerk at The Hawaii Foodbank, Inc. in Honolulu. The Hawaii Foodbank, Inc. is a nonprofit organization which handles the great task of food distribution to feed the hungry throughout Oahu. Assignment has lasted 8 weeks to date and the position reports directly to the Director of Finance, Connie Bennett. The Hawaii Foodbank, Inc. financial department is required to manage and report all the company’s financial and monetary activities which include food purchases, distribution, sales, contributions and donor gifts. To accomplish this, they have several departments which handle those areas and which use 3 different accounting software systems which include Black Baud Raisers Edge donor software, Macola Software for A/P and Oncourse Software for AR and billing. Duties required the learning of the Macola and Oncourse software programs and to understand the Raisers Edge reporting. Responsibilities included but were not limited to A/R, A/P, bank reconciliations and assisted the Director of Finance with other duties and projects as directed.

Full Charge Bookkeeper, Swede Farms, Inc., Teaneck, NJ, 5/23/11-3/21/14 Responsibilities included but not limited to: A/P, ADP Payroll, Union reporting, journal entries, monthly closings, Bank reconciliations, Prepared Word documents and Excel spreadsheets as needed, weekly and monthly schedules as reported to management as required, worked with A/R and Sales Departments booked J/E’s. Accountants review on a monthly basis. QuickBooks 2008 software and Ross RAMS software systems were used.

Preparation of bank rec’s., posted journal entries, posted A/P/A/R transactions that did not migrate with the new system transition from QuickBooks Premier/Enterprise to Op Center software program.
