- Perform a wide variety of routine and specialized test procedures in Chemistry, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Blood Bank, using manual and/or automated instruments.

- Perform high complexity test of blood, body fluid, CSF, and recognize abnormal or unexpected results generated by automated equipment or interfering substances using previous results and patient history for comparison when appropriate.

- Specimen processing and producing complete and accurate test results efficiently and in a timely manner.

- Perform proficiency testing from CAP to ensure the technique and instrument performed accurately.

- Run and analyze quality control (Levy-Jennings and Westgard Rules), calibration, and instrument maintenance to ensure all are acceptable before releasing patient results.

- Monitor and evaluate quality control data to determine the needed course of action to correct problems with instruments or testing methods.

- Always follow laboratory safety policies such as wear gloves, lab coat and face shields when handling hazardous material and properly dispose of specimens, reagents, and biohazard waste.

- Maintain a clean organized work area to insure efficient test resulting turn-around-time guidelines for STAT and routine tests. Completing tests within shift.

- Report tests accurately in writing, orally and in the Laboratory Information System (LIS) or Cerner system. Make critical values calls to inform nurses or physicians and properly documenting.

- Monitor and report on the status and progress of work, checking to ensure that the supervisor’s instruction on work priorities, methods, deadlines and quality have been meet.

- Respectful attitude and well behavior to colleagues as well as customer service. UTILIZED ANALYZERS: proficiently utilized the following analyzers:
