Experience
JAN 2020- PRESENT
Superintendent/ Flatiron Construction
As a night shift superintendent I was in-charge of overseeing grading crews and sub-contractors. I scheduled workflow and ensured we met schedules and milestones. We faced many issues from weather to re-work issues throughout the project. Due to the large scale of the project I jumped in to help anywhere I could, learning all about panel replacement and concrete grinding operations.
On dayshift I was responsible for building all slope eastbound from I-25 to Wadsworth. I was tasked with selling off the grade and scheduling subs to follow directly to disc and seed before weather forced us to re-grade.
MAY 2017-DEC 2019
Project Superintendent/ Lawrence Construction
With Lawrence Construction I was directly responsible for the construction aspect of all construction for a complete bridge removal and reconstruction project. I was oversaw scheduling sub- contractors, scheduling all the internal crews and inspections for the project, scheduling milestones, weekly progress meetings with the owner and insuring the project was built to spec.
During the project we experienced two major weather events, shutting down the project for 5 weeks. Even with weather and unexpected obstacles we were still able to completer the project under budget and before contracted end date.
I was project superintendent for a canyon stream and roadway restoration project. I was brought in later in the project and was faced with a project being 6 months behind schedule and massively over budget. With the help of a project engineer and the willingness of crews willing to work through the winter, we were able to finish the project on schedule and under budget.
Both projects I championed the company’s safety culture and had 0 safety incidents during my time as the project superintendent.
MAY 2016 – MAY 2017
Superintendent / IHI/Kiewit- Cove Point Maryland
As a night shift superintendent I was directly responsible for the safe and productive installation and removal of scaffolding. The most important role I had was to ensure each and every crew member believed and practiced my commitment to safety first. I did this by constantly coaching and mentoring. Ensuring everyone went home safe led to our successful completion of schedule on time and under budget.
JAN 2015 – MAY 2016
General Foreman / IHI/Kiewit-Cove Point Maryland
Scheduling, overseeing, and ensuring the production goals were met nightly and weekly. Labor relations and payroll. Mentoring new employees as well as current, setting the safety standard I believed in without wavering. Trained and helping in any way possible as a coach and mentor.
JAN 2014 – JAN 2015
Civil Grading Foreman / Kiewit New Mexico
Managed a crew of five craft workers. Three operators and two laborers. It was my key responsibility to remove existing road, build the sub-grade and place on finish grade safely and efficiently in order to maintain the existing schedule.
