OBJECTIVE

To secure a position in the Software Quality Assurance field in which my technical knowledge, automation experience, attention to detail, and people skills make me the right candidate for the right company.

WORK EXPERIENCE

Sr. Manager IT Quality Assurance, November 2015 - Present

Layer3-Tv/ T-Mobile Denver, CO

HINT -

After shut down of TVision Product, the teams I managed were pivoted to the National Launch for the T-Mobile Home Internet Product (HINT). This product is currently the fastest growing ISP in the United States, enabling over 1.5 Million Customers Internet at an affordable price.

The team was split into 2 groups 1 focused on End to End Enterprise Releases, and the other focused on Embedded (lean left) work platforms, including Eligibility/API Platform; Device Release Management; and Mobile App Validation. The teams work directly with other Engineers, Network & Platform Engineering, Architecture, Product and Development teams. The team continues to do this while focusing on solutions for the individual tasks from each of the groups. The elements of this job are to ensure that the top priority items are addressed.

The team accomplishes this by working closely with these groups in the design and implementation of QA test methodologies, reviewing software test plans and matrices. All while implementing quality strategies to measure and record software quality trends within the overall organization. My teams achieve this by actively working with the product management and architecture teams in defining actionable, testable product requirements. Together we accomplish this by determining acceptance criteria and testable actions on every feature/delivery from the teams. Each team works in dynamic release cadences, with some products delivered 2-3 times a week, while the other products are more controlled bi-weekly and sometimes monthly cadence. The concept of embedding this level of quality is set by being a role model of process adherence throughout the departments demonstrating that quality is not just a department within the engineering group, but can be driven by others within the company.

Another part of my role is to partner with my Automation QA manager, driving more automation from the available resources. Together we do this by driving the team to take a completely manual process and move forward with implementation of automation API and UX Automation platform with a mix of senior and junior resources, focusing on the delivery of tests that assist in the multi-release software systems. We continue this, with a focus first in assisting in cutting down quality test cycle times of regression.

Through all of this work I was held responsible for the creation of a complete End to End release validation process within the Product Quality Team, which handled Enterprise Wide Releases, along with 3rd Party Integration apps within the HINT Platform.

TVision -

After the purchase of Layer3TV - the teams were tasked with growing the platform and launching Nationally the SetTopBox platform. It was launched in mid-2018 to 11 Markets across the United States, to limited Fanfare. The product was scratched for a Co-Branded Interop platform including Apple, Amazon, and Google technologies (including a self-branded devices), covering all National Markets. The product went from concept in Late 2018/Early 2019 - into Launch in Nov 2020. The product was subsequently shut down in March of 2021.

While a part of Layer3TV

As part of a TV startup I was asked to create a comprehensive test plan around the following interfaces:

Consumer Acquisition Platform

Lead signup/ Sale Generation

Online Account Management

Internal Customer Support Platform

Customer Billing Support Platform

Customized User Interface

Asset Ingestion Platform

Embedded System Platforms

These teams had Embedded validation resources (lean left); End To End Integration resources ensuring integrations before customer releases; and Automation resources that were responsible for shortening the overall timeline from dev completion to customer release.
