Description of Jobs handled / Responsibilities:

• Experience has been gained from Welding Inspection for various materials such as CS, SS, and Copper nickel & Dissimilar materials on a wide range of mechanical, structural and piping projects.

• Inspection of Incoming materials like consumables, Pipes, Plate, Valves, Pipe fittings, Gasket and structural items and review the Material Test Certificate and consumables Certificate as per requirements.

• knowledge of various welding processes (SMAW, GTAW, FCAW, and SAW) and materials.

• Well conversant with recognized standards and codes such as ASME SEC V & IX, AWS, API, ASTM, etc.

• Well Knowledge about NDT methods such as (MT, UT, RT, LP, PMI, HT, FT).

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, Isometric, P&ID, technical notes, procedures and specifications.

• Ability to coordinate with customers and third-party inspectors.

• Review the track records of Periodic Calibration of welding machines, Baking/Drying ovens, Pressure Gauges and other Instruments.

• Witnessing of Welding Procedure Qualification and Welder Qualification Tests and review the WPS & WPQ as per code.

• Witnessing/Inspect the bevel Preparation, fit-up, Alignments, Dimensional, Root run, final and NDT Activities and visual inspection.

• Monitor and verify the welding Parameter and condition of welding consumable as per Approved WPS, and ensure the only approved welding procedures are followed and welders are qualified.

• Verify that fabrication sub - contractors and offshore installation are performing all activities in accordance with project requirements, specifications, and procedures.

• Carry out inspections and surveillance activities as detailed in fabrication sub - contractors' and offshore installation approved Inspection & Test Plans.

• Witness of fabrication sub - contractors and offshore installation inspection activities and review of records as required.

• Carry out continual monitoring for quality and compliance to project data sheets, standards and specifications.

• Verify that all approved welding activities are performed strictly in accordance with project requirements

• Verify that all approved inspection techniques are performed strictly in accordance with the project requirements.

• Monitor fabrication sub - contractors and offshore installation as necessary, to verify project materials, welding consumables and welding quality meets the required criteria, together with workmanship meeting the requirements of the project specifications, standards and procedures.

• Report / validate progress as required by project team.

• Shall perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision as required to verify compliance with project requirements.

• Prepare daily reports on the work in progress.

• To advise on repair techniques, material selection, welding procedures, Inspection and testing requirements.

• Carry out Material identification and correlate Mill Test Certificates of Vendor and Company supplied material as per Engineering Specifications. Carry out visual and dimensional checks.

• Review and sign Material Receipt Vouchers and recommend remedial measures for non-compliance of materials. Supervising Receiving inspection of materials & Equipment’s.

• To perform piping line check to ensure correct line pipe, valves, fittings other accessories, pipe straightness, pipe evaluation, pipe supports, flange to equipment free span and other required inspection before hydrostatic testing.

• Witness the hydrostatic test and review the reports.

• Perform piping line check after reinstatement to ensure all items are in correct position and location as per P&ID.

• Interpret radiographs in accordance with the specified industry codes, standards and procedure for the work.

• Provide weekly input to the QAQC reporting system, with regards to trends and unresolved exceptions and problems.

• Provide early warning of potential quality problems and ensure non - conformances are identified, tracked and closed.

• Report any non - complying items to the QC Lead & QC Senior Welding Inspector that need to be isolated to prevent inappropriate use.
