Resume:

Personal Profile

I am a methodical, conscientious and goal-driven medical student whose passion for enhancing health and overall well-being extends far beyond the sphere of mere clinical aptitude. As such, I am receptive to both conventional and progressive approaches to general medicine, particularly in the broad domain of emergency medicine and in the promotion of infection control, the latter being of especial importance in light of the COVD-19 pandemic ongoing at the time of writing (April 2020).

Outlined through my curriculum vitae are respective summaries of both my educational background and qualifications and my formal occupational experience. Some transferable skills I have gained from my occupational experiences are provided in that section.

Educational Qualifications

An I.C.S.E. (Indian Certificate of Secondary Education)-accredited distinction (78%) in the final year of my primary education (10th class) from Abhyasa International School.

A distinction in the intermediate part of my secondary education at Srichaitanya Educational Institution, with an overall mark of 80%.

An upper-second class grade (2:1) in M.B.B.S. (Bachelor of Medicine and bachelor Surgery) at Mamatha Medical College (2016).

In addition, I have an MSc research degree in respiratory medicine from the University of Chester.

Occupational Experience

I undertook a year-long internship at Gandhi Hospital, India between the respective Decembers of 2016 and 2017, in which I gained hands-on experience in all 19 spheres of medicine and surgery. Herein, I became particularly aware of the realities of the immediate difficulties ubiquitously faced in the emergency room and the necessity of balancing related but distinct modes of thought into a unified whole—i.e., a timely but not hasty response to the emergent needs of patients blended with a compassionate appreciation their emotional circumstances, the latter phenomenon particularly important in the approach to patients presenting with psychiatric symptoms. This ability, namely to fully adjust to the tempo of any emergent situation, has facilitated in me the ability to appreciate medicine as a unified whole and, in this manner, I have come to understand the importance of seeing the patient as a person rather than merely a constellation of distinct signs and symptoms.

Between March 2018 and December 2018, I worked as a junior doctor in the pediatric department at SVR Children’s Hospital, wherein I developed the ability to communicate effectively with such a special demographical group as children and, by extension, I feel confident in communicating with other vulnerable groups who may present in a medical setting in a way commensurate to their cognitive abilities and such an approach is often needed with people with general learning difficulties and syndromes allied to dementia. To the end of effective communication, also, I, owing to my ethnic background, am trilingual in English and two languages spoken in India (namely, Telugu and Hindi) and, on this note, am equipped to bridge a gap that might otherwise exist between certain Indian patients and the National Health Service on account of linguistic barriers,

From January 2019 to may 2019 I have had a wonderful opportunity to work as a Medical officer at Hamaliwada urban health centre Adilabad.

Worked as a clinical assistant at Northampton general hospital NHS for 8 months between may 2020 to nov 2020.

Clinically assisting the senior doctors in all the way possible from preparing the clinical notes, following the ward rounds, chasing the next plan for the best possible care to the patient, doing bloods, NG tube insertions, cannula’s, urinary catheters, ABG’s etc.. ( all the competencies signed).

Clinical assistant or medical support worker is relatively new role introduced by the UK govt during the pandemic which is designed to augment the clinical service by doing a basic level clinical work under supervision by a consultant.

Currently working as a Medical officer at DEIC RIMS, Adilabad. Treating 0-18 patients exclusively for birth defects, childhood deficiencies, Developmental delay’s and childhood diseases.
