Presented at the VCU Guided Research and Applied Training Program Poster Symposium. Investigated the pharmacogenetic relationship between ethnicity and nicotine dependence. Enhanced each resident’s experience through conflict management, role modeling, and positive contributions to the residential community.

Presumed the role as a role model for middle school students from underrepresented and disadvantaged backgrounds. Assisted mentees with classwork and homework.

Advised mentees regarding career aspirations, personal conflicts, relationships, and school conduct. Presumed the role as a leader for first-year students at Virginia Commonwealth University. Communicated with mentees on a regular basis to discuss career aspirations, academic goals, and personal conflicts. Assisted mentees in overcoming interpersonal issues regarding mental health.
