Professional Statement
I am a confident and highly skilled science and math teacher. I have been teaching AP Biology for 10 years and have always had at least an 80% or higher passing rate. I have been teaching science and mathematics at the high school level for 21 years. I am creative and innovative and exceptionally skilled at using all computers and technology. Every year that I have taught I have found, designed or used new methods for keeping my students engaged and to further increase their success and interest in the subject matter by employing varied types of assessments. I am very flexible and enjoy learning new methods of teaching and sharing my passion for the subjects I love. I enjoy designing laboratory activities and creative methods for teaching all of my subjects. I employ a variety of teaching methods, such as “teach-pair-share”, to ensure 100% engagement and success for all types of learners. I am extremely passionate about the subjects I teach and I have a great deal of energy and patience. I have outstanding subject matter competency (as evidenced by my 21 successful years as a teacher and as an AP teacher as well as passing the state exams). I have taught both in the block scheduling and “regular” scheduling environments and work with both types equally well. I am a very active and athletic person outside the classroom and am also a National Soccer referee (certification 10/4/2013). I am always happy and have great patience with my students. I look forward to obtaining full time employment at the high school or middle school teaching science.. Thank you very much for your consideration of my resume. Jamie Di Bene-Gorger
