Equipped with intensive knowledge in a wide variety of radiologic techniques, procedures and diagnostic imaging modalities, most particularly with General Ultrasound, obstetrics, gynecology and small parts.

Uses cognitive sonographic skills to identify, record, and adapt procedures as appropriate to anatomical, pathological, diagnostic information and images.

Analyzes sonograms, synthesizes sonographic information and medical history and communication findings to the appropriate physician.

Ability to communicate effectively with patients, health care providers and other members of the public

Able to identify normal and pathological cases in ultrasonographic procedures

Familiarized and developed full understanding towards imaging equipment and image documentation software such as PACS, RIS and CARESTREAM.

Performs sonography at Radiology Department Unit of General Ultrasound with a minimum of 100-120 patients on a daily basis.

Able to perform different procedures such as

o Whole abdomen (Pancreas, liver, gallbladder, kidney, spleen, urinary bladder) ultrasound o Hepatobiliary tract ultrasound (Gallbladder and Liver) o Prostate and pelvic ultrasound ( Uterus, ovaries and adnexal areas) o Neck and thyroid ( Parathyroid, parotid, areas of the Neck) o Testicle with Doppler and Scrotal Ultrasound

o Abdominal Aorta Ultrasound

o Quantification of fluids ( e.g. ascites, pleural effusion and abscess) o Hematoma, lipoma, soft tissue mass and others

o Breast Ultrasound

o Obstetrics / Gynecology Ultrasound ( Transvaginal and Pelvic Ultrasound )

Performs procedure in ultrasound unit, Emergency room, operating room and bedside procedures.

Able to assist in different ultrasound-guided procedures such as thoracentesis, paracentesis, fine needle aspiration biopsy, renal biopsy, liver biopsy, musculoskeletal, cranial, liver with Doppler, IJ stent insertion and pigtail insertion.
