SR. HR GENERALIST/EMPLOYEE RELATIONS SPECIALIST
Assist managers in following progressive disciplinary actions within the Bammel facility as well as the NOV Technical College along with several satellite facilities to align with business goals. Coaching of employees on available solutions to employee situations. Conduct workplace investigations to ensure fairness to all employees while protecting NOV liability. Collect, distribute and maintain information from employees for Payroll purposes. Generate reports to validate information submitted to various departments in reference to human capital at the facility.
Results:
Prepare new candidates for starting within the Bammel facility and the tech college.
Perform new hire orientation and on-boarding.
Calculate and submit facility hours worked to HSE team at NOV corporate office monthly.
Provide pre-employment candidate screening.

Originally hired to assist with the Accounting department on a part-time basis. After a few weeks I was given more responsibility within the Accounting department. Over the time I was there it progressed into a full HR role. Walked the shop floor daily to assist employees with any issues they were having within the scope of HR. Wrote appeal letters for employees to change the decision that was originally made about adding them to the health insurance. Liased between employees and the third party that handled benefits for NOV. Submitted all forms to the corporate office for Payroll and HR changes to be made. Assisted the Accounting department with data entry each month.
Results:
Managed benefits appeals outsourced through Ceridian Information Services for employees.
Functioned as Human Resources Liaison, communicating HR concerns between employees and HR Director and find solutions to the problems.
Assisted Accounts Payable with $1.5 million average monthly payout.
Managed time clock by ensuring accurate time records for 225 employees in Unitime Time Management system.
