Customer service included working at the cashier, handling transactions and bagging grocery items while communicating with customers to make sure they had a pleasurable experience within the store. There were also cleaning tasks within the store such as cleaning/sanitizing bathrooms as well as handling trash and usage of compactors. It was a fast paced environment with downtime in between allowing yourself a moment to handle other tasks in between customers that involved cleaning the work space area.

Working as a host, I was in charge of communicating between customers and staff, understanding their needs and taking action. I have to coordinate seating options and assemble sections for the restaurant. I also clear and clean tables and different areas in the restaurant. I’m efficient at stocking and organizing, hadlinging quick transactions, receiving store phone calls all while seating and having friendly interactions with customers.

Sometimes I would be at the front cashier instead and make coffee and serve donuts to customers. While I wasn’t working with customers I would handle store sanitization. It was important to communicate with the staff regularly so that we all remain efficient.
