Summit Professional Education. Dr. Chaifetz is a national expert on Lower Back Pain and conservative soft tissue methods of treatment. This course was designed and licensed in Multiple States to include New York, New Jersey, Florida, Washington DC, Virginia, Tennessee, and North Carolina. This course was taught as a specialty course for Physical Therapists, Physical Therapy Assistants, Occupational Therapists, Occupational Therapy Assistants, Athletic Trainers, and Allied Health providers.

Practice Experience:
Dr. Chaifetz has been in clinical practice since 1987. His expertise has always been in a collaborative medical environment. Owning several private practices in Mandarin and Ponte Vedra Beach, Dr. Chaifetz has run and managed the largest chiropractic practices in Jacksonville. The first Chiropractic Rehabilitation Center Director in Jacksonville, he has always been at the epicenter of collaborative care with his patients. Utilizing medical physicians in practice, his patients have always benefitted from a thorough, comprehensive approach to healthcare. As a professional who specializes in neurology, he has been able to utilize his practice knowledge and skills in the Coordinator position at UF Health to benefit the operations of the MS Center, and the quality of care for the patient population. Dr. Chaifetz has a strong academic background. He has consulted, designed, and instructed in education for over 10 years, innovating and delivering course materials for the development and operation of two massage therapy programs. Dr. Chaifetz was a consultant, course designer, and professor in the Massage Therapy Program for Florida State College for five years. He frequently lectures and educates neurology residents, medical students, pharmacy students, pharmacy residents, and attending neurologists on the subjects of Multiple Sclerosis, cervical spine management, lower back management, and complimentary healthcare in relationship to neurology. Dr. Chaifetz is an expert in disability analyzing and preparing the medical disability reports for the providers in neurology pertaining to Multiple Sclerosis disability. In clinical practice, Dr. Chaifetz is a national expert on Myofascial and soft tissue therapies. With a considerable interest in Stroke prevention in chiropractic care, he is helping to formulate standards in the Chiropractic Profession for risk assessment with cervical spine cases, and the management of patients with an episode of arterial dissection.
Current Occupational Duties:
Dr. Chaifetz has been the Clinical Program Coordinator for the Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Center since 2008, certified by the Consortium of Multiple Sclerosis Centers as a Specialist in the field.
This is a dynamic and challenging position which combines clinical expertise with process completion and program quality improvement for the only Comprehensive Multiple Sclerosis Center in the northeast Florida geography. Dr. Chaifetz was instrumental in helping to recruit patients for DMT studies, which helped to result in the FDA approval of the medications GILENYA, AUBAGIO, and LEMTRADA. Dr. Chaifetz manages and oversees millions of dollars in services which are provided by the UF Health system. He manages the program through the interaction with patients, providers, and ancillary staff personnel. He is also a strong advocate for patients and interacts with governmental relations representatives and local/federal legislature. This position requires the clinical expertise and regiment of a provider, along with the technical understanding of the insurance industry, coding and billing, compliance, care coordination, marketing, and the development of business product lines not previously strategized.
This is a unique and challenging position which combines administrative regimentation with clinical knowledge to accomplish program goals and objectives for clinical research, as well as clinical care.
