Performed development tasks in an IDMS/DB and IDMS/ADSO environment. Specific tasks included enhancing web/mainframe back-end functionality, providing reporting capability and payment information to various collection agencies and interfacing to outside vendor payment statistical system to predict future customer collection priorities. Reported to Accounts Receivable management.
Consultant – Greeting Card Systems

Performed system integration testing and system checkout for a Merchant Analytics system. Programs were written and unit tested off-shore. Documented quality issues, made code changes, wrote newCOBOL/IDMS/DB programs when changes were required. Created system and production Z/OS JCL, implemented to production and performed production monitoring. Interfaced heavily with Business Analysts and project team.
Created batch and on-line program specifications for a major distribution order processing system. Program specs were created from high-level functional design documents. Coded some programs, unit and system tested and implemented to production. Project was one year in length.

Created detail design documents from high level business functional requirements. Responsibilities included analysis of Retiree Pay and Annuity Systems. Systems were written in Cobol
in both a batch and online environment using CICS, IDMS, DB2,
VSAM and sequential files. Some programs utilized MQ Series to
route messages to various web sites.
Coded, tested and implemented new system enhancements and/or modifications. Design through implementation adhered to strict system development methodology. Specific project examples included Cost of Living Adjustments, Retiree Statement (1099) enhancements, Federal and State Tax changes, reporting enhancements and mass retiree address updating.

Assisted with unit testing, system integration and regression testing to meet user expectations upon conversion. All work new development consisting of a nine month timespan.
