I am a Retired U.S. Customs and Border Protection Officer, grade GS-12, stationed at the Bangor International Airport, Bangor, ME. I was temporarily assigned to the Maine Fusion Center(Augusta, ME) as a CBP Liaison/Intel analyst. The Maine Fusion Center serves as focal point within the state and local environment for the receipt, analysis, gathering, and sharing of threat-related information between the federal government and state, local, tribal, territorial (SLTT) and private sector. My day to day duties include but are not limited to reviewing state and federal Intel reports, open source material and forwarding as needed to the appropriate organizations. I do background investigations using state and federal systems and software, I.E. TECS, III, Accurint, CLEAR, ENFORCE, NSEERS, IDENT, CIS, CCDI, ESTA, HSIN, LEO, and EARS. I help conduct analysis and facilitate information sharing while assisting law enforcement and homeland security partners in preventing, protecting against, and responding to crime and terrorism. I also have experience working on the Northern Border and the processing of cruise ships and cargo vessels arriving from foreign. I am relied upon to work independently with a minimum amount of supervision. I prepare written and oral reports to staff within the Fusion center and to CBP management.
