Assisted with defining the Document Identifier Codes that were needed for testing.

Helped define what fields would be needed in SAP for the PR, PO. IR, & GR that were being created.

An integral part of creating the Decision Matrix that was created for all the necessary test scripts being created in SAP.

Hired for the STARS-FL System GL Consolidation and Decommissioning Project as an SME due to my previous experience with SABRS. STARS-FL is being decommissioned and several of the systems are being re-directed to SABRS, by migrating all financially relevant Budget Submitting Office (BSO) data, validating financial reporting, and then decommissioning the system.

Leveraged my experience with the SABRS JIRA ticket system.

Managed the programming team in creating additional tables for the BSO’s master data to be successfully processed in SABRS.

NEWCORE TECHNOLOGY GROUP, Kansas City, MO 2018 to 11/2020

Information Technology Contractor/IT Specialist

Brought in as an analyst, programmer, and tester to assist in recreating the Marines accounting system for the Navy for the DOD.

An integral component to multiple teams with exceptional experience in analysis, design, programming, unit, and System Integration Testing (SIT) for SABRS. Since being multi-talented, filled in the most needed place. Often switched from team to team to make use of varied skills.

Received an accommodation for work performed on 2018 year-end SABRS changes, X4742. At the time of transition to the project, the project was behind schedule, but implemented various processes and supported development and testing to ensure the project was completed on schedule.

Expert in analyzing, estimating, designing, and programming USMC/Navy accounting database programs from client requirements which are coded in NATURAL and JCL (Job Control Language). Fluent in USMC/NAVY-SABRS accounting processing.

Assisted in entering and updating Issues (Epics, Stories, and Tasks) into JIRA Agile application which was utilized to manage all software changes and updates related to SMARTS and SABRS with an agile methodology for software development.

Annotated and compiled system testing and corresponding results, while providing comprehensive feedback regarding any identified issues and potential resolutions.

Responsible for conducting quality review meetings that involved the client and customer to discuss potential requirements regarding any requested system changes. This ensured that all requirements were clear and concise.

Worked extensively with the tables and the database files used in SABRS, by performing table copies from one test environment to another, or from the production environment into a specified test environment. In addition, properly maintained tables in currently working test environments to assist with testing, which required both valid table entries and invalid table entries to ensure all test scenarios were successfully conducted.

Supported the design, development, and testing of the following System Change Requests (SCR):

oX4802 Identified SABRS files where specific data elements were missing such as Major Claimant Code (MJCC), ORIG-SYS-ID, and ORIG-SRCE-ID.

oX4742 MLOA, which allowed SABRS to support multiple lines of accounting for additional document types, where previously SABRS would only allow multiple lines of account for minimal document types such as Travel Orders (TO).

oSABRS-41 Update with CAT-TYPE-CD process, which supported the addition of this data element to table 300 for appropriate general ledger postings.

oSABRS-16713 Adding Major-Claimant-Code to Rec-types 1 and 2, which supported the appropriate recording and reporting of appropriation level accounting at the Budget Submitting Office (BSO) level as Rec-type 1 was previously recorded for all Navy BSOs due to programming from USMC SABRS developed for the system to manage only a single BSO.

oSABRS-8199 Adjustment to Improper Recovery Posting, which supported necessary changes in SABRS to post recoveries against the intended general ledger accounts.

oSABRS-9803 Add MJCC to table 206 for war-flag Y APPNs, which ensured that BSO-specific APPNs were recorded against the general ledgers appropriately.

oSABRS-16674 STARS FL Shutdown WSDL Copies, which were developed to assist in the current and future data transfer(s) of STARS-FL data into SABRS.

oSABRS-16675 STARS FL Shutdown DUD/DUC/ADV Capability, which was supported to identify unmatched transactions currently existing in STARS-FL and appropriately transfer them to generate transactions for the history transaction retired file (HTRF).
