Review and Design of Training Modules/Packages

1)Review War Child Canada’s existing training module for livelihood and women’s economic empowerment program e.g. functional literacy, life-skill and vocational training and ensure these are updated and are aligned with national standards;

Program Management

5)Work with the Opportunity team and support the Program Manager-Opportunity to develop team’s detailed implementation plan (DIP) ensuring it contributes to achieve deliverables of project specific DIP and ensue it is regularly reviewed and updated;

6)Support the Program Manager to plan and conduct assessment including market assessment as and when required;

7)Support the program manager in develop strategies and action plan for pro-active support to women entrepreneurs with introduce their work/produce to the market, develop business/enterprise development plan, facilitate establishment and registration of private enterprises and ensue 100 percent of the project beneficiaries (women entrepreneurs) are using the best practices to bolster their micro-business;

8)Work closely with other Program Managers and ensure all cross-cutting activities – Child Protection, Gender, Peacebuilding etc are integrated into the project activities;

9)Assist the Program Manager and Program Development and Reporting team with drafting of new proposals, logframe, and project framework;

10)Conduct regular visits and provide timely support to staff and implementing partners including those in the provinces and submit timely monitoring reports to the line manager;

11)During the monitoring visits, conduct focus group discussions, one-on-one interviews and document stories, case studies and impact of the project and provide these to the Program Development and Reporting team to ensure these are reflected in the donor reports;

12)Support the Program Manager to prepare monthly progress updates and quarterly progress reports and submit to the Head of Implementation and Program Development and Reporting team on regular basis;

4. Take active part in PRMs (Project Review Meetings) and GOMs (Grant Opening Meetings);

5. Build capacity of the field staff to ensure they have the required skills to deliver programmes and objectives;

6. Provide technical assistance to various programme teams in the areas of Education with focus on Accelerated Education Programme (AEP), Community Based Education (CBE);

7. Provide training and oversight to ensure proper understanding of cross-cutting issues such as Gender, Protection, Advocacy and Access aspects in the education projects and integration of the same in projects;

8. Work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team to ensure Education work is contributing to all objectives across the priority quality areas;

9. Represent NRC in relevant working groups, task forces, seminars and related fora in the thematic area; and among donors, UN agencies, International NGOs, and national and sub-national government counterparts;
