Responsible for providing technical direction in the organization in waste management and to ensure compliance in a day to day operation and oversee the disposal of over a million dollars per year of hazardous and non-hazardous materials.
● Manage environmental related projects, machinery repairs and facilitate various equipment installation that resulted in significant cost reduction of $30,000 annually
● Challenge to reduce scrap produced by production lines while maintaining continuous quality improvements. Autonomous Production Team (APT) mythologies was used to reduce scrap from 69% Key Performance Indicators (KPI) percent to 99.76 KPI
● Ensure environmental compliance with DNR, EPA, DOT and OSHA guidelines and follow the company standard operating procedures regulations on a daily basis
● Perform data entry for all shipping manifest, maintained shipping files, approved invoices from vendors and log all information into a database
● Conducted weekly routine inspections and reported monthly to 10 departments in the organization. Communicated across internal department to solve problems in a timely manner
● Technical Team Lead in waste management:
o Responsible for training and assisting 4 team personnel regarding proper storage, disposal, inventory management, data collecting, and analysis to support continuous improvement as well as corrective and preventative actions
o Schedule waste trucks for pickup of waste generated and manage waste disposal, maintained all applicable environmental inspections and inventory in compliance with hazardous waste
o Sort waste drop-off area
o Inspect and maintain inventories for hazardous waste accumulation areas
o Complete shipping paperwork for all waste shipments and receipts
o Inspect hazardous waste piping systems
o Pick up waste from various locations, including hazardous waste via fork truck o Operate can crusher and shredder and maintain required paperwork
o Perform routine maintenance on all equipment
o Package and label hazardous waste as needed
o Manage bulk hazardous waste flow to storage vessels and tanks
o Sort and consolidate damaged product
o Assist the facility with emergency spill cleanup and waste disposal operations

● Participated in safety leadership role to drive incident and accident free workplace initiatives through the organization and attend safety sub-committees, which consist of BBS observations, completing incident investigations and at-risk behaviors
