06/05 - 12/09: Receiving Inspector/Source Inspector, ViaSat, Carlsbad, CA.
Working under limited supervision perform all variety of complex and difficult electro-mechanical inspections of fabricated parts, cables, printed wiring boards, assemblies, and materials in an incoming/receiving function. On occasion:
Perform printed wiring assembly inspections using the acceptance criteria of IPC-A-610. Perform conformal coating inspection of PWAs. Review test data for satisfactory results per engineering requirements, follow general inspection guidelines to conduct critical, none- routine visual, dimensional, mechanical, and electrical test, and functional inspections on a wide variety of components, assemblies, equipment, systems, supplies and materials. Also responsibilities for documenting results in standard format reports and conducting source inspection and first article inspection of parts, assemblies, equipment and tooling.
