3 years experience working with kids, in-person and online/virtual service activities that I provide:
During the covid period, Service has been done completely remotely. My duty is also to communicate with staff/teachers/principal, parents, (MC), (IC), and
(PM).
Students are tutored based on my (MC) and (IC) recommendations. Students are assessed by me, after which I will meet with my (MC) and (IC) to direct/discuss with them about interventions to tutor the students. After our meeting, I’ll then begin to tutor students 1:1 through Google Meet/in person. Each of the students are tutored for about 20 minutes every school day. 5 minutes are added for any emotional support. Another 5 minutes for calling to remind parents and students about the tutoring sections every school day. Prep will be done before tutoring and in the middle of the day. Prep includes setting up students’ files, interventions, replying to emails from (MC), (IC),(PM) teachers, and parents. Data entry, submitting of timesheets, and projects that are assigned by my (IC), are done during my service time.
My day starts with prep, 8:30 am and with me ending my tutoring sections at 4:30 pm
All this is done about 7.75 to 8.25 hours every day, which includes tutoring, calling, emailing, preps, and meetings.
