Personal Statement:
I have trained in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care from PGIMER
(Post Graduate Institute of Medical Education and Research) Chandigarh, which is the leading teaching institutions in the country and ranked 2nd by NIRF among medical institutions in India.
I have more than 4.5 years of clinical experience in Anesthesia and Critical Care Medicine, worked in 2 multi-speciality institutions. I have been working in multispecialty hospitals with Emergency and elective Operation theatres with modern Anesthesia workstations, and multidisciplinary ICUs with all facilities like Ventilators, BIPAP, Bedside ECHO Machine, Bronchoscopy, HFNC and Hemodialysis Machine after my post graduation.
I would enjoy the opportunity to become part of a world class team that develops clinical services with an emphasis on patient outcome, improved efficiency and evidence-based approach. I am supportive and have a comfortable working relationship with my peers, ICU teams and the supporting staff. I am dynamic, hardworking and have good experience in the field, seeking full utilization of skills and credentials. Post Graduate Training:
MD in Anesthesiology and Intensive Care (July 2014 – June 2017) I have completed 3 years of postgraduate training in Anesthesia and Intensive care from PGIMER, successfully completed the university examinations and was awarded the MD in Anesthesia in first attempt. From PGIMER, I obtained excellent preliminary training in Anesthesia and Intensive care Medicine. I obtained training in Anesthesia for the various general surgical specialties and subspecialities including cardio-thoracic surgery, pediatric surgery, oncological surgery and neurosurgery. I also obtained training in the management of Critically ill patient admitted in Medical ICU, Trauma ICU, Postop ICU, Transplant ICU, Tetanus ICU and Cardiothoracic ICU. I have anesthetized more than 2500 patients and managed more than 500 ICU inpatients including ventilator patients over the three-year Anesthesia and intensive care training programme.
Clinical Experience:
● Three years of training in Anesthesia and Intensive care in India’s apex Institute, PGIMER, Chandigarh, which consist of Operation Theatres, Multidisciplinary ICU, Trauma ICU, Tetanus ICU, Transplant ICU, Post op ICU and Cardio thoracic ICU with all international standard facilities including ECMO Machine.
● Two and half years of work experience in IQRAA International Hospital, which is a 350 bedded multi speciality hospital with 6 Operation Theatres, Cath Lab, MRI, 4 Intensive Care Units with all modern technologies and Nephrology centre with 16 dialysis units, Transplant OT and Transplant ICU. Critical care Department of IQRAA International Hospital is Level 3 ICU, and it is one of the centers of DNB Critical Care training programme in the country, which consist of Multidisciplinary ICU, Surgical ICU, Cardiac ICU and Transplant ICU with all modern equipment and facilities.
● Now I am working at Santhi Hospital, Omassery as Critical Care Consultant, which is a multi speciality hospital with 7 Operation theatres, Multidisciplinary ICU, Surgical ICU, Obstetric ICU and Dialysis Units with 20 beds. Key Skills:
• Critical care management of all routine Adult ICU cases including emergencies in Cardiac cases, Respiratory cases, Gastroenterology case, Urology and Nephrology cases, Obstetric emergencies, Poisoning, Sepsis, Trauma emergencies and Neurological emergencies.
• Pre Anesthesia check-up and Perioperative management of patients
• Provide general /regional Anesthesia & sedation to patients and monitoring.
• Airway management including difficult airway management
• Experienced in FOB intubation and trained in Emergency surgical airway access.
• Provide general and regional Anesthesia for inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures, including Obstetric and minor Paediatric cases.
