Yard Switcher Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for making sure trailers are safe and running properly.
- Direct outside vendors to the correct location.

- Inspect load in trailer to ensure it is properly loaded and is the correct load before pulling from Bay Door.
- Hook up tractor to trailer, which includes backing under the trailer, raising landing gear, and hookup up air lines.
- Operate Switcher Vehicles in variety of climates and traffic.
- Transport load via the most efficient route to proper destination while observing all traffic laws and safety regulations w/in the yard/ lot.
- Verify count while truck is being unloaded assisting with the unloading when necessary.
- Complete necessary paperwork accurately and in a timely manner.
- Comply with all company policies and procedures, including safety and DOT requirements.
- Pick-up raw material and inventory items as dispatched.
