I was hired as a Financial Office Assistant II to fill and complete varies jobs that targeted day-to-day business operations of the Parking Division. Demonstrated daily innate abilities to tackle different jobs and finding ways to improve how they were done more efficiently.

I was assigned to tackle the PAC (Parking Access Card) system. This system made it available and accessible for the airlines, government, city, and county employees to have access to parking. I was assigned to putting together the 1st PAC Card Manual which was to be used whenever information was needed about the PAC cards. Which was available to all Parking employees.

I improved the filing system, making it more easily accessible and efficient. I made sure the employees files and many parking files were put in an orderly fashion. Correctly how they filing system had been kept.

Spearheaded by suggesting and putting together a way to scanning new and old parking tickets into the data base that was used for the parking infractions in the computer. This made it more time efficient and it also eliminated having to keep the hard copy tickets for more than 3 to 6 months.

I took it upon myself to learn how to do not only my payroll duties (day shift) but also swing and evening shift. That way if I was needed to step in, I was ready without having to be trained on the spot. I delivered a diverse range of administrative and operational skills to the Marriage Bureau. I was hired as a sworn in clerk of Court – Legal Office Assistant II. I was able to give great customer service as well as completing the fast pace data entry filling out the marriage licenses that was issued 7 days a week, 24 hours a day. Being a sworn court clerk, I had the ability to marry couples if they wanted to get married at Commissioner of Civil Marriage. I was also enlisted to enter information on all marriage licenses issued from the late 1800’s to present day into a data program so the information could be found online. Also, I did passports and Fictious Business Name (DBA-Doing Business As).

One of my proudest moments at the marriage bureau is when I issued almost 100 marriage licenses on 7/7/07. I have married almost 75 couples in the time I was there.

Doing the job of taking all the information from old ledger books and micro-film of marriage licenses dating back to late 1800’s to now was historical. I was hired as a part-time employee to work Human Resources with a wide range in filing, answering the phone, setting up interview appointments and setting up for the interviews. I oversaw confidential filing and information that was my responsibility and to make sure they were always properly handled. Being self-employed taught gave me the ability to put my own boss. The job that I did was to get WOTC

(Work Opportunity Tax Credits) for companies that can be used for their business doing tax time. When a company hired employee, they would have them fill out a separate form that help me determine if any of the employees they hired were in what the government deemed economically disadvantage. If they were the companies could get Tax Credit on each employee that fit the programs guidelines. I would take care of the paperwork and handle everything for my clients so that they could get the Work Opportunity Tax Credits which they could use when they file their taxes each year.

Being a sole proprietor gave me the ability to know how to make sure the client needs were placed first. To get things done in a timely manner and to make sure the clients received what they need to make their business run smoothly. I took care of everything, so client did not have to worry. EDUCATION
