Objective:

I am requesting in interview to discuss the details and salary for a position of Quality Assurance Supervisor in a Chattanooga location. I can handle complex situations and multi-tasked assignments as can be seen by my work experience. Please note I have been involved with quality assurance at TVA, Savannah River Site, and inspections with RT, PT, MT and UT non-destructive inspections.

Interested in working in the quality arena in the Chattanooga Tennessee area. My intensive quality assurance and supervisory experience provides over thirty years background experience working on a wide variety of engineering quality projects for contractor at Volkswagen Chattanooga TN, Savannah River Westinghouse Site, Combustion Engineering, TVA Sequoyah, TVA corporate nuclear office Chattanooga and TVA Watts Bar Nuclear Plant. Also conducted audits and assessments at General Electric and Westinghouse nuclear fuel fabricators. Included was researching and preparing recommendations for manufacturing modifications to correct quality problems. My experience of conducting quality audits and assessments at Westinghouse Savannah River site (manufactures of Tritium Gas for nuclear bomb production) also qualifies me to handle a broad variety of positions involving quality activities for manufacturing and plant engineering activities.

My extended experience overseeing manufacturing and technical personnel well qualifies me for handling a broad arena of quality related activities for manufacturing processes including audits, surveillance and assessments involving production quotas and production issues, QSE TS16949 ISO90001

Worked directly for Comprehensive Logistics overseeing ROD containers control and repack of received and damage goods. Supervised crew of three to five people in completing these assigned tasks. Worked second and third shift to complete assignments.

Received assignment as LEAD AUDITOR over a crew of 6 auditors at ThyssenKrupp Automotive Systems to try to save their VW quality certification. I was successful in accomplishing their recertification with the Volkswagen Chattanooga plant one

I restructured their processing procedures and retrained personnel in compliance to work instructions. Assigned two of my auditors to handle final inspection of axle for assurance that quality levels are consistently met

I worked as “QUALITY AUDITOR” with Gastamp Two restructuring their quality program (behind Volkswagen plant at Chattanooga TN) by setting up shift audits of finished parts by off line inspections on first and second shifts. I completely revamped their quality program by addition of revised line production procedures and multiple shift inspections by these auditors in addition to normal line inspections.

I worked with TRIGO PIC group at Volkswagen Chattanooga manufacturing facility for over two years working in the manufacturing arena as inspector of parts including repair and was PROMOTED to “Quality Yard Supervisor” over 12 inspectors of VW Auto quality problems. At PIC was involved with evaluation of incoming parts and on line inspections. I am very familiar with all production lines at VW and related quality problems.

Worked with Stratosphere One AT TMN (manufacture of seats for VW) as OPERATONS QA SURVEILLANCE ENGINEER. Worked on the production line inspecting seats for potential quality problems.

I have been owner and CEO of a telecommunication company Southern Telecom Distributor) overseeing remanufacturing of telecommunication products for nationwide distribution. Responsible for control of the entire process of assuring just-in-time quotas are met to assure customer orders are filled as scheduled efficiently with minimum or no down time or quality problems.

Involved in TVA activities include but are not limited to supervising various projects such as startup of Sequoyah/Watts Bar reactors, materials receiving and testing, plant reactor refueling, nuclear fuel rods surveillance/audits. Oversaw Westinghouse and General Electric manufacturing facilities production processes. This included evaluation of their production process quality output. Supervisor of Materials Inspection Group (MIG) at Sequoyah Nuclear Facility for receipt of materials and provide assurance that materials are available for plant production needs. Qualified in preparation of plant procedures, their evaluation, and supervising activities of plant personnel by overseeing and meeting management quality goals and standards.

I have a quality background of over fifteen years’ experience with TVA, working at Sequoyah Nuclear Facility nine years, six years Nuclear Fuels at Blue Ridge Place {downtown Chattanooga} and one year conducting management level assessments of critical operations at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant before taking a position at Westinghouse, Savannah River Site, Aiken, South Carolina.

Six {6} years’ experience supervising personnel production teams for "Tritium" gas waste processing at “Westinghouse SRS”. Responsible for preparation of Westinghouse "Quality Assurance Manual" for Savannah River Site, Aiken, SC. Worked with a "Q" (secret) clearance conducting plant assessments for Westinghouse SRS.

Stock Room Supervisor Received and Issued Parts and Inventory for plant production. Used forklift to store large items on shelves.

Responsible for overseeing door panels replacement of door line at Volkswagen plant after defective panels are detected.

Oversaw production of seat fabrication for Atlas and Passat for Volkswagen autos.

Conducted inspections and reported failures and suggested corrective actions.

Responsible for sampling Pails and Lids for compliance with specifications. Conduct destructive and non-destructive testing. Coordinate with Production Supervisor to correct problems. Did not feel the position gave me the opportunity to progress in my field of Quality Engineering so took a Supervisory position with Stratosphere Quality.

2018 – 2019 - ThyssenKrupp Automotive Systems Lead Auditor to save company by giving them compliance to VW standards.

Responsible for assignment overseeing 6 auditors to correct their quality problems. Successful completion of assignment

2018 -2018 - Gastamp Automotive plant two Lead Auditor assigned to set up second shift quality assurance department. Job was for a two month assignment to correct their quality

problems. Job was very challenging and rewarding.

Responsible for setting up QA inspection by auditors for second shift

Project successful. Went for one man on day shift making a partial insertion to two auditors per shift making statistical inspections for compliance to VW standards.

2017 – 2018 - Yard Supervisor for TRICO/PIC at Volkswagen facility Chattanooga Tn Plant

Supervised two to fifteen quality inspectors addressing vehicles problems located outside the plant. Many times it involved 5000 or more vehicles having potential quality problems of which some were very serious like break problems

2016 - 2018 - TRICO/PIC VW Chattanooga Tn. Body shop and Assembly shop quality coordination. Promoted to Lead Auditor for outside quality inspections using 4 to 12 auditors to inspect VW Atlas and Passat vehicles for compliance. I have worked all production lines in the Body Shop and Assembly areas checking for quality compliance. Shop inspector of Assembly Areas, Paint Shop to Body Shop and finally promoted to Yard Supervisor directing activities of inspectors in conducting yard sorts of SUVs and Passat for quality problems

President/CEO of Telecommunication Company. Directed fifteen employees in production of telecommunication telephones and systems. Acted as Production Supervisor assuring refurbish and sales of new telephones and related telecommunication products to businesses and motels/hotels order delivery dates and quality level are met. Worked with maintenance personnel to assure production problems are addressed and used an on hands approach to direct personnel to obtained maximum production potential.

Supervised personnel at TVA corporate offices (downtown Chattanooga) as Nuclear Fuel Supply Evaluator for nuclear fuel procurement from General Electric and Westinghouse suppliers. Conducted audits and assessment of these suppliers’ production quality assurance and quality control manufacturing operations at their manufacturing facilities.
