Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher, once stated, “Change is the only constant in life”, and a famous college football coach, Bo Schembechler branded this statement, “Every day you either get better or you get worse. You never stay the same.” Without a doubt, these two quotes continue inspiring my platform of projecting a growth mindset initiative. As a seasoned teacher, coach, and administrator, I believe in promoting an environment that develops the whole person - mind as well as body, emotional wellbeing as well as intellect. Our mission as educators is to develop not only academically successful young men and women but to also prepare our students to win in the game of life. Since 1989, I have understood that academic and athletic success cannot be achieved without a structured process in place as a learning institution, facilitating change and encouraging growth individually, ultimately leveraging these opportunities into learning situations for their whole person development - Mind, Body, and Spirit will be the grounded fundamentals for successfully navigating life’s situations.
Practicing a positive mindset style of approach administratively as a school leader, working with staff, students and community ensuring a high-quality educational program as a situational leadership certified instructor. Collaborating with our teachers and coaches establishing clear goals, promoting motivation, and providing direction for communicating a compelling vision within our school and the greater school community are just a few of my strengths as an effective facilitator. Aligning as one of the positive influencers, gaining traction as one of the trusted leaders, and instilling confidence into others on and off campus is how I plan to set the standard. HIGHLIGHTS
