DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES PERFORMED ON THE DUMP TRUCKS-

Carry out preventive maintenance (50,350,700, 1400 and 2800 hours service).

Change out of machine components such as pumps, control valves, accumulators, struts, tanks, coolers, final drives, operator cabin, A- frames, hoist cylinders, relief valves, dumb body, air drier, air compressor, dog bone, brake chambers, brake calipers, replacing of worn bearings and pins on pivot points

Change out gear reduction assembly, change bearings on the Hub assembly, replace worn out brake pump, change seals on leaking Cylinders.

Able to trouble shoot machine faults relating to Machine manuals.

Carry out greasing on every machine

Carry out weekly inspection then report on every machine performance, defects such as cracks, hose rubbing or any faults needing correction.

Carrying out preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and installing of fire suppression system (SANDVIK ECLIPSE FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM.)

Trouble shoot new fault codes on the machine and work on them using Caterpillar Electronic Technician (ET) and VIMs and also using machine manuals provided by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and also using Caterpillar Service Information System (SIS)

WORKS PERFORMED ON DRILLS OR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

(a) Carry out preventive maintenance (Carrying out 50, 250, 500, 1000 and 2000 hours service on all machines.)

(b) Change out of components such as engines, Pumps, Drifters, Rotary heads, Rotary head chains and Rotary rollers, Compressors, Control valves, Sprockets, Rollers on the Undercarriage and undercarriage chains.

(c) Cleaning of fuel tanks, greasing of the machine, checking that all oil levels are within recommended levels.

(d) Trouble shoot new fault codes on the machine and work on them using CAT ET and also using machine manuals on engines C18 and C32 model.

(e) Replace worn out hydraulic hoses, pins and shanks.

(f) Change worn out bearings.

(g) Resealing of Drifters, flash heads, control valves and accumulators.

(h) Carrying out of midlife repair (Changing of all Rotary head chains, Rotary head rollers, Rotary head, Rotary head sprockets, Hose reels, feed beams, boom cylinders and Rod handlers.)
