WORK EXPERIENCE

2011 – Present – Calvin Giordano & Associates – Lead Clerk/ Trainer

Multiple duties include hands on processing and coordinating the magistrate clerks and the workload for several cities. Organize, train, and provide objective in accomplishing the goals for the code departments. Oversee in the daily intake and processing that each department relies on for functioning.

2002-2011 – City of Dania Beach –Florida – Administrative Specialist

I am responsible for coordinating city code compliance inspections. I communicate with the Special Magistrate and attorneys to process files for title searches, abatements, and foreclosures. Likewise, I interact effectively with other city departments in relation to code enforcement cases. I also serve as a liaison between code enforcement, zoning department, and the general public. Prerequisites for this position include being excellent at multi tasking and being computer proficient along with paying attention to detail.

1999-2002 – Coordinated Care Solutions – Administrative Assistant

I managed the ad hoc reports of the contractors such as the skilled nursing facilities, ancillary facilities, and physicians. Assisted the Director of Contracts with the processing of provider contracts, and the company’s provider manual. Worked in conjunction with records management, payables/receivables, and nurse management.

2004-2005 – Broward County Schools – Florida – Substitute Teacher

I worked as a substitute teacher in several elementary and middle schools. Using my experiences from the private sector, I was able to maintain proper classroom management by getting students to focus on the agenda and assignments I supplemented. Simultaneously, I taught and interpreted the curriculum to the best of my ability, encouraging and motivating students to work to the best of their abilities.

2006-2007 – Huntington Learning Center – Private Tutor

Using individual FCAT test scores as a guide, I tutored elementary and middle school students in the areas of reading, social studies and math. I helped students to prepare for the Florida Comprehensive Assessment (FCAT) using specific reading and math programs and skills that have been proven to enhance their overall performance.
