Professional Projects

1. Vertical Stack Water Source Heat Pump & Hybrid Heat Pump (AHRI Certified) Designed and developed the heat pump from the range of 0.5 ton to 3 ton as per ASHRAE, CSA, and UL standards. Also, selected all the components from different suppliers such as Dx coils, centrifugal blower, ECM motor, etc.

2. Design and Development of Horizontal console Heat Pumps (AHRI Certified) Designed the product line for the horizontal console heat pump for the high-rise commercial market from submittal drawings to final stage for production.

3. Vertical DX Unit for Mitsubishi Electric (AHRI, HVI, CSA, UL certified) Successfully developed the product line for Mitsubishi Electric b working with their engineering team to fulfill their requirements for the DX Unit. Managed to certify this unit for HVI with the help of our engineering team.

4. Retrofit Heat Pump & Hybrid Heat Pump (CSA, UL Certified) Designed Retrofit heat pumps easy slide in chassis for all current North American market heat pumps replacement.

5. Kanban Implementation

Implemented 2-Bin and 3-Bin Kanban to better manage the inventory. Reduced the material-on hand cost by 35%. Eliminated the down time for the production due to missing parts. 6. ERP(Odoo) System Implementation

Successfully implemented Odoo (ERP) system for the Unilux VHP. Developed set of product variants, created master BOM files to select variants with drop down menu for the sales department to easily quote the custom job requirements.

Product Development Engineer May 2019 – Present

• Study plans for upcoming projects and develop strategies for improving upon current product models.

• Develop the submittal drawing for the customers using Solid works and AutoCAD for each product to help the sales department.

• Develop and build prototypes and run tests to measure their level of function.

• Design products using SolidWorks and consult with product application team and manufacturing team to ensure that designs are feasible.

• Consult with fabrication teams during product manufacturing, guide them on design specifications and provide physical assistance when required.

• Record and evaluate testing data, make changes to designs as necessary to bring product to safety, performance, and efficiency standards.

• Research competitor products quarterly and collaborate with product development team to generate ideas for making our products better in the market.

• Calculate cost estimates for final product designs, and release reports to supervisors, incorporating costs of labor, material, delivery, and overhead.

• Attend weekly meetings to provide progress reports, obtain updates on cross-functional team’s progress, strategize on steps for following week and acquire information about projected emerging product lines.

• Use customer feedback and data to upgrade and improve the current product design.

• Design sheet-metal parts for the new construction and retrofit units based on the ETL standards and AHRI standards.

• Work with supplier to approve the DX coil, Hot water coil drawings, fan blower drawings and sourcing the parts as per the custom design requirements.

• Launch and transfer of new products to production through APQP process and preparing Production Part Approvals (PPAPs) on new and existing products

• Implement ERP system to optimize the inventory level, materials, and resources

• Develop the fan-motor program for ECM motors for constant airflow and constant torque based on job specific ESP requirement.

• Design and calculate water pressure drop for all the heat pump products as per customer requirements.

• Perform the sound test for all the units as per ISO 11204:2010
