Duties and Responsibilities
Mechanical Supervisor
Review and Verified the documents issued for construction drawings, plans, and work details and also construction specification to ensure that all works implemented at site conforms to project quality and safety requirements.
Monitors and verify to ensure the quality of accomplished work in accordance to project procedures, Inspection and Test Plans and applicable standards / codes.
Strictly verify and check the sequence work activities to assure the good quality application and maintain the production works.
Initiates the issuance of Surveillance or Non Conformance Reports whenever deviations from project procedures, specifications or requirements are observed during execution of work activities.
Establish Maintenance Strategies to install and commission equipments.
Create plant Preventive, Reactive Maintenance procedures, plan routine maintenance of plant equipment and machinery.
Preparation of Request for Inspection and Testing, including direct coordination with Client’s Representative for the smooth execution and implementation of inspection activities. Page 2
Conduct shop/field in progress inspection works and surveillance in accordance with the approved project inspection and test plans.
Conducts inspection of abrasives for Airflow and water test testing using digital flow meter
Ensures proper inspection and test standard are implemented.
Ensures that activities are carried out according to approved procedures.
Liaises with the site construction engineers and provide assistance when requested.
Ensures that all equipments and tools are in good condition with proper calibration and test certificate and conforming to the requirements of the project specifications, codes and all applicable standards.
Ensures that the procedure used in carrying out the work is in compliance with the method statement and all applicable codes and standards
Insulation inspection of pipelines, equipment and various structural members, ensuring compliance to the specification prescribed by client and engineering standards.
Conduct ongoing and final inspection to prevent major rectification in the work activities. Field Supervisor:
Review the project technical specifications issued by Oil /Gas Companies, National & International Clients and elaborate the input data related to General Maintenance (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing).
Selection of most suitable thermal Insulation materials and application techniques to optimize the quality and cost.
Preparation & Issue of Materials for Equipments Repair and Overhauling.
Perform technical evaluation of the offers received from vendors related to Installation, Maintenance and Technical Troubleshooting.
Assistance to procurement and review of subcontractor documentation.
Establishing bidder lists, evaluating and pre-qualifying vendors, bid assessments, audits, reviewing supplier’s documentation for compliance with client specifications, International Code.
Logging of daily activities, highlighting and noting some important issues and coordination with other involve section.
Check the equipment’s and materials upon arrival at site and prepare material inspection report (MIR).
Support/monitor and give technical assistance to the on-going work installation activities.
Identifying mechanical equipments and piping system priorities from the work schedule.
Giving orders to supervisor for the work installation priorities, checking mechanical equipment and piping installation in the field and preparation of as-built drawings as required.
Make request of inquiry for the material and equipment availabilities / deliveries.
Implement and supervise the installation of static/rotary equipment’s at pumping stations, district cooling plant and sewerage plant including the structural and piping along with the equipment.
Monitoring and Updating Project Daily Manpower and Equipment Reports.
Verified, Rectified and Closed the Corrective Action Request (CAR) issued by the Company.
Ensure that all manpower, materials and equipment requirements of each work area are properly established and adequately distributed in accordance with the set priorities. Has knowledge on the following system software.
