Served at main bargaining table as part of the state negotiations team to negotiate contract for nine (9) bargaining units for the state. Train managers and supervisors on interpretation of the Memorandum of Understanding. Respond to grievances at the departmental level. Interpret the state contract for Management and Represent Management in formal and informal meetings with unions. Serve as the Departmental representative in arbitrations and prepare, in conjunction with CALHR attorneys, documentation in support of grievances advanced to arbitration. Research and respond to Labor Relations allegations, concerns and inquiries raised by Management and the union. Provide contract interpretation and advise management and supervisors.
