Responsible for issuing badges to visitors and vendors. Printed temporary badges to employees whon their badges were left at home, lost or misplaced. Submitted request for replacement badges through Swap or Lost system through badger. Monitor access control, made sure to watch for badging into security areas. Monitored temperature of IDF/MDF rooms. Stay updated on policy changes in the GSKP, check employee status in the Company Wiki before issuing temporary badges. Check task numbers for approval prior to issuing vendor badges, cleared through SCR and Badge HUB. Worked as a Shift Lead for about a month at 1801. Acted as a Shift Lead when Shift Leader was out of office at 1601. Trained under Supervisor for Shift Lead duties.

Responsible for patrolling facilities, made sure that two patrols were completed per officer. Made sure to monitor cameras and CCure for access control violators that were not badging into the workspace. Provided breaks for employees, reconciled badges, stayed abreast of Post Orders changes. Completed Daily Activity Report, PASS Down Log, Laptop Audit to make sure that all Laptops were secured with a locking cable or taken home. Provided escort service to contractors to make repairs in MDF/IDF rooms and controlled areas. Deputy Executive Director

Planned, supervised and monitored daily activities of the Public Housing and Section 8 staff. Wrote Standard Operating Policy and Procedures, revised the Administrative Plan and Public Housing Managers Operations Handbook. Responsible for the overall operations of the Section 8 Housing Voucher Program and the Public Housing Program. Responsible for making sure that the Housing Authority were following HUD regulations.

Prepared narrative and statistical reports for submissions to HUD and the Board of Commissioners. Attended Board of Commissioners Meeting and responded to inquiries regarding funding of each program managed by the agency. Reviewed reports prepared by Section 8 and Public Housing managers and other Housing Authority personnel.

Conducted informal hearings with residents on complaints or grievances along with Legal Aid Attorney. Kept Housing staff advised of changes in the Authority and HUD policies, Assisted Public Housing Manager and Residents in resolving controversies, and made recommendations to the Executive Director. Drew down Capital funds through ELOCCS for the completion of major repairs to the Public Housing Units as required by REACT.

Drew down funds from TDHCA for rental payments to landlords and reimbursement to the agency for payment of the Project Base Program. Made sure that all funds were collected timely. Conducted annual inspection of the public housing units for PHDEP project. Also completed SEMAP reports on a regular and consistent basis.

Drew down funds for the Family Self Sufficiency Coordinator’s salary. Submitted reports to HUD on a regular basis. Worked closely with HUD staff to provide the required reports. Assisted the Executive Director with the bank statements by reviewing them for discrepancies. Detected abuse of funds by an employee for personal use. Assisted in the hiring of the Fee Accountant and CFO for the agency. Provided help with preparing the annual budget, year-end-settlement for Housing activities. Made sure that the Fee Accountant understood how the funds should be allocated in order to prevent the mixing of funds from one program to another.

Assisted with the auditing of programs from HUD and TDHCA to make sure funds were allocated correctly. Reviewed reports and questioned when the budgets were short or how much money was available to provide additional vouchers to potential residents under the Section 8 Program. Applied for grants, applications for funding under the SuperNOFA for Mainstream Disability Vouchers, Fair Share Vouchers, Shelter Plus Care (S+C), Tenant Based Rental Assistance (TBRA) and other grants that the agency were interested in pursuing which resulted in the Housing Authority obtaining over one million dollars($1,000,000) in funding during the first year of employment.

Added an additional allocation of 75 vouchers, 55 Tenant Based Rental Assistance coupons and additional funds for the FSS Coordinator salary as well as the Shelter Plus Care Program. Met with and helped families that were affected by Hurricane Katrina from New Orleans. Provided information to young pregnant students at Anderson High School on how to apply for the benefits offered by the Housing Authority and the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

Conducted interviews, hiring and discussed with Executive Director when the need arose to hire or replace an employee. Supervised an office staff of 14 employees. Conducted employee evaluations and made recommendation for compensation. Investigated fraud and program abuse cases and made determination and met with Legal Aid and the client to obtain a resolution.
