I believe that students who learn best are those that enjoy what they are doing and have confidence in themselves. A teacher's most important job is creating a learning atmosphere that engages the students mind and feeds their souls.

A successful teacher knows how to instill confidence and passion for learning into his/her students. Building a child’s self-esteem through praise, continued support and responsibility are important factors that I use in my classroom daily. The successful teacher should keep variety in the classroom by offering different types of learning activities. Whether the activities are hands-on, group work, or direct-based learning, students should have the opportunity to experience a mode of different teaching techniques. As a teacher I seek to gain rapport and respect from my students, and in turn I offer an environment that is nurturing, stimulating and full of respect for them. In my teaching career, I have learned that all students can blossom when their teacher supports them and challenges them. I believe that helping students to relate what they are learning in the classroom and how it can be used in the real world is essential. Most importantly I have learned that student and teacher learning go hand in hand. I have learned so much from my students, and from them I am constantly learning more about the world in which we live. A well-educated child is the result of a strong collaboration between the instructional team, students, parents, and community volunteers. “It takes a village to raise a child.” As a teacher, I provide the support and learning environment for them to be able to lifelong learners.
