WORK EXPERIENCE
NCR CORPORATION INDIA Private Limited
SOFTWARE ENGINEER
● Migrated 6 microservices from on-premise to cloud which decreased the support cost by almost 60%.
● Dockerized 6 microservices and also built continuous integration and deployment pipelines to achieve reliability, modularity, scaling and brought down human effort by almost 80%.
● Developed pipelines for automated infrastructure and application deployments with roll-back scripts on Microsoft Azure cloud for enabling faster deployments which increased the deployment success rate by 50%.
● Designed auto-scalable environments with both light-weight(using Kubernetes) and heavy-weight(using Azure VM scale-sets) on Cloud which increased environment uptime by 30%.
● Integrated the applications with cloud monitoring and incident-management tools to ensure 24*7 uptime for services on the cloud.
● Led and managed a team of 7, in stakeholder requested customized production deployments for about 4 months.
May ‘19 - Nov ’20
SOFTWARE ENGINEER ASSOCIATE II
● Created Python scripts for automating pre-requisites and microservices’ deployment on Virtual Machines which saved about 90% of the time of the development teams.
● Developed Installer automation testing scripts for the Certification team which reduced the testing time by 90%.

An RDBMS modeling for analyzing trends in Covid19 Cases and Vaccinations:
● Analyzes the trends in Covid19 cases and vaccinations and draws correlation between the daily cases data and the vaccination trends in the USA.
● The tool considered for this project is Google Collab and the DataBase used is SQLite. A Distributed System for Image Edge Detection:
● Splits the image processing jobs received from the client and assigns tasks to +2 compute nodes.
● The framework uses Random and Probability-based Load balancing algorithms for scheduling, to assign tasks to compute nodes. The time taken for processing 91 files is 10.03 secs for Random and is 12.04 secs for Load Balancing Algorithm.
● For Edge Detection, Canny Edge Detector and for interfaces, Apache Thrift are utilized. Stroke Prediction Model:
● Predicts if a patient is susceptible to getting a stroke using different ML(Machine Learning) classification algorithms like Logistic Regression, Support Vector Machine, and Random Forest.
● The highest accuracy achieved using Random Forest Algorithm is 89%. ASL Detection on Live video(In-progress):
● Detects the sign language on live video and prints on the screen. The dataset considered is WLASL, the largest ASL dataset containing about 21k videos.
● The baselines considered are I3D and Pose-GCN models with an accuracy of 66.31% and 62.24%. The aim is to increase the performance by using DETR(DEtection TRansformer) on the top of the baselines. Automatic Text Generator(In-progress):
● Implements state-of-the-art text generation models with an accuracy of at least 90%.
● The dataset is taken from Kaggle and the plan is to preprocess the text using NLP techniques and NLTK library and train the model using LSTM.
ACCOMPLISHMENTS
● Led a team that stood 3th among 20 teams from all over the city in an IOT hackathon conducted by CISCO.
● Co-founded the department’s 1st technical magazine, NEWTON’S APPLE.
● Collaborated with colleagues for a hackathon(Competitions) at the workplace which got a special mention among 2000 teams.
● Executed robotic events, as a part of the IETE(Institute of Electrical and Telecommunication Engineers) Student Forum (ISF) which had a student turn-over of about 5000.
