CAREER HIGHLIGHTS
Developed and implemented a highly successful supplier development strategy and trained 1,000 Ugandan suppliers on the World Vision’s procurement approach thus winning more contracts for the Organization. This led to a reduction in bid errors, increased responsiveness of suppliers to tenders, and improved the competitiveness of bids, thus leading to a higher ROI.
Led and oversaw the creation of Program Area field Supplier Databases for World Vision Uganda. Subsequently, over 1,000 field-based suppliers were able to legally register their companies and transact with the World Vision.
Participated in the review of the Procurement Process to ensure timely procurement and reduced turnaround time by 50% from an average of a month to two weeks at World Vision International, Uganda.
Developed framework contracts while at World Vision International, Uganda for routinely purchased items including office stationery and taxi hire services thus reducing procurement turnaround time and the cost of doing business as prices would be fixed for a year after negotiations.
Reduced qualified audit queries to Procurement Committees at ZOA Relief Hope and Recovery and World Vision International, Uganda from over 70% to under 12% within two years by training them on how to make the best value for money decisions.
Reduced systems expenditure by launching ProVision to substitute Maverick and training users on how to utilize systems effectively with streamlined and standardized procurement processes. This reduced field Maverick spending from 100% to below 8% within 6 months of implementation. Furthermore, the new system (ProVision) automated procurement operations and increased transparency, accountability, and efficiency at the World Vision International, Uganda.
Increased accountability and transparency of procurement activities from 70% to 100% within one year, leading to increased donor trust and funding at Infectious Diseases Collaboration.
