I’m currently the principle executive of MCS/VideoWorks, a 27-year old media services, state-of-the-art production and post-production company. I’m also the president of Moving Pictures, Inc, a mobile television production company, which provides services to local stations as well as national television networks.

MCS/VideoWorks’ creative and technical staff is highly touted throughout the industry.

Among the myriad of programs, I’ve produced are the Emmy nominated “In the Huddle” television series. I’m also the executive producer/director of “Sports People Hawaii” and “Countdown to Kickoff II,” the University of Hawaii football pre-game show. I also was on the production team and provided the production facilities for the Emmy award-winning Winter Baseball League program “Road to the Show.”

For over 25 years I’ve produced programming in Hawaii as an independent producer/director/writer for many nationally recognized operations such as ABC News, ABC Sports, CNN, ESPN, The Golf Channel, E! Entertainment Network and USA Network. In addition to writing and directing numerous local television series, I have produced and written countless commercials, corporate videos, and on-air television promos, radio spots and radio sports specials.

Over the past three decades, I have worked at and with various local and mainland television stations, establishing many close industry ties. I’ve also designed and produced multi-media/multi-image presentations for organizations such as the Bank of Hawaii, Pacific Basin Council, The University of Hawaii. Outrigger Hotels, Hilton Hawaiian Village, The United States Air Force, and the State Department of the Attorney General.

I have a BA in communications and have an extensive undergraduate educational background in media literacy, marketing research, management science, as well as graduate work in Public Administration.

It is my hope that my accumulation of 35-plus years of media and media management, handling of major and national accounts, and track record of developing new business can serve as a mutually beneficial career with a dynamic organization.

Warm Aloha,

Edward B. McLaurin
