Responsible for performing the physical tasks involved in the shipping, receiving, storing, and distributing of products, materials, parts, supplies and equipment.

Unpacks and checks goods received against purchase orders or invoices, maintains records of received goods, rejecting unsatisfactory items where necessary.

Pulls and fills orders.

Monitoring and operation of the shakers

Assisting the Derrick hand within the mud pit, mud pump and chemical sack rooms

Performing housekeeping activities on the drill floor including washing, chipping and painting

Assist the Motorman with offloading/back loading supplies, equipment, pipe, etc.

When trained, relieve the Derrick hand in the derrick

Essential Functions:

Attention span to stay alert and attentive for up to 12-hour tour while performing sometimes repetitive and monotonous tasks

Able to works 14 days on and 14 days off, including holidays, weekends and or days and nights.

Able to receive verbal and written instructions

Must be able to stand and walk for a minimum of 4 hours at any one time, including standing and walking on steel decking as well as gravel, board roads and mud, snow and ice

Must be able to repetitively lift and carry items weighing upwards of 60 lbs. up and down stairs, repetitively swing 20 lbs. sledgehammers as well as torque on wrenches and open/close valves requiring upwards of 160 lbs. of torque

Repetitively be able to lift/carry 100 lb. sacks, pull drill slips with another employee (200 +lbs.), latch/unlatch tongs as well as rack back drill pipe continually throughout the 12-hour tour

Able to bend, stoop, kneel, twist, and crawl throughout the tour work shift while always wearing Personal Protective Equipment

Listen for unusual noises that signify equipment and machinery problems

Other duties as required by the Driller, Derrick hand or Rig Manager

Pipefitter Help/ Oates Industries

Read blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required.

Identify all tools required for tasks.

Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks.

Prepare, fabricate, install, and fit pipe to specifications.

Install valves, hangars, supports, flanges inside piping system according to plans and applicable specifications.

Perform test to ensure the quality of the pipe and the piping systems.

Hoist loads using slings, chains, shackles, hooks, cables, and other rigging equipment.

Receives daily route information from a centralized dispatcher via a company-provided handset

Drives a company vehicle to perform pick-up/delivery service for FedEx Express centers and for customers. Pick-up duties include driving to the customer’s place of business (or a FedEx Express center), receiving orders or packages and picking up supplies and inventory items from vendor’s place of business. Delivery duties include, but are not limited to, delivering finished orders or packages to customers (or a FedEx Express center) and distributing marketing materials as requested

Ensures quality of package delivery which includes strict compliance with safety regulations, policies and standards when handling perishables or other items requiring specialized handling including, but not limited to, dry ice, clinical samples and/or medical products

Ensures packages conform to FedEx Express and general FedEx features of service, proper labeling is provided, and all paperwork is complete, neat, and accurate. This specifically includes ensuring that all packages requiring special handling or transportation are properly packed and labeled so that such packages can be transported in accordance with established safety and regulatory procedures

Ensures quality service is provided during each customer interaction by providing efficient and professional delivery service, answering customer questions, resolving problems or concerns and interacting in a polite and caring manner
